Hardy Telecommunications, a community-owned cooperative, has significantly expanded broadband access across multiple West Virginia counties through its OneNet fiber-to-the-home network. Fueled by federal investment—including a $31.6 million USDA grant/loan package that kicked off the project—OneNet now delivers ultra-fast Internet, HDTV, and voice services directly to residents and institutions. Further enhancements are underway through USDA ReConnect and Community Connect grants, helping bridge the digital divide in rural areas. Hardy has been nationally recognized as a Smart Rural Community for its leadership in providing high-quality, future-proof connectivity.
