Rapid Lynx, an Indigenous-owned telecom provider, is delivering high-speed fiber-optic internet to 1,125 households across 9 Matawa First Nations communities in Northern Ontario. Backed by over $69 million in grant funding, this project connects remote communities directly to the global internet backbone in Toronto, empowering access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. As both builder and operator, Rapid Lynx plays a vital role in closing the digital divide and supporting Indigenous-led digital infrastructure.
